How Generation Kenya Changed Roselavine’s Life

How Generation Kenya Changed Roselavine’s Life

Hi Newborn!

In April 2023, Roselavone welcomed her baby, who was a blessing but also a new challenge. She needed financial stability to provide for her child. Having been jobless for a year and expecting her first child, she spent most of her time on social media, searching for opportunities but finding none. Amid her search, she discovered Generation Kenya’s Digital Customer Service program, a decision that transformed her life.

Breaking Barriers to Employment

“Most of the topics taught were very useful since they covered many sectors. I was glad to learn my strengths, how to manage my time, and how to spend money.” She expresses how the program exceeded her expectations.

Of course, the journey wasn’t without its challenges for her. Balancing the demands of the training with her responsibilities as a new mother was tough, but she managed to juggle both. The power of determination!

A Life-changing opportunity

With the skills she gained, Roselavine quickly landed a job as an inbound customer service agent at Jumia Kenya. The impact of the program was immediate. “Through this program, I was able to get employed and provide for my family,” She shares.

With her continued determination, she managed to level up in her career and switched to an independent travel manager at Dyninno Limited.

“I wish to thank this Generation Kenya so much because it has elevated my life.” She Concludes.

From jobless and searching to employed and thriving, Roselavine’s story embodies our core aim of empowering and supporting youth to sustainable careers.
