Generation Programme Kenya is a non-profit organization that focuses on empowering young people with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the workforce. We offer training programs in various sectors to bridge the gap between education and employment.

What programs do you offer?

Currently, we offer Sewing Machine Operator, Digital Freelancing and Digital Customer Service Programs

How is Generation Programme Kenya different from other organizations?

Generation Programme Kenya stands out by providing practical, employer-driven training programs tailored to the specific needs of the job market. We work closely with industry partners to ensure our participants acquire relevant skills for real-world success.

Are there any charges for the training?

The training programs are fully sponsored by various donors. There is however a commitment fee of Ksh3000 for each program that can be paid in 2 installments.

Do you have part-time sessions?

Yes, depending on the program. We have morning and afternoon shifts for Freelancing classes, full-time for the online Digital Customer Service Program and Sewing Machine Operator’s Program. The timings vary depending on various factors like employer needs.

What are your training hours?

The full-time sessions run from 8am to 4pm, while part-time sessions run from 7am to 12:30pm and 1pm to 6pm respectively.

Can I join the freelancing program without any prior experience?

Yes, our Freelance – Admin support program is designed for individuals with varying levels of experience. Whether you’re a beginner or have some skills, our training will equip you with the necessary skills and tools to thrive in the freelancing industry.

Do you issue certificates after training?

Yes, we issue e-certificates after graduation and hard copy certificates for the Sewing Machine Operators’ Program

What IT or Digital Skills programs does Generation offer?

GPK provides Digital Skills Program known as Freelance – Admin Support Work training program that cover a range of skills, including digital marketing, transcription, video-captinong, data analysis, annotation, social media management, graphic design, among other soft skills. These programs prepare participants for success in the growing gig economy.

Is Generation Programme Kenya affiliated with any government agencies?

Generation is an independent and international organization, but we collaborate with government bodies, learning institutions, TVETs, businesses, and NGOs to create effective training programs and maximize employment opportunities for our graduates & alumni.

How long does the freelancing program last?

The Freelancing – Admin Support Work goes for 8 weeks of inclass training and then 6 weeks of apprenticeship.

How long do the programs at Generation Programme Kenya last?

We have a variety of programs running concurrently i.e. SMO, DFP, DCS and their duration may vary, but most programs typically run from 4 to 8 weeks. Check the specific program details for more information on the duration and schedule.
