Prepare to begin a career in admin freelancing!

The Freelance Admin Support Work Programme trains unemployed youth on online work readiness skills such as Digital Marketing, Transcription, Video Captioning, Data Analysis, Annotation, Social Media Management, Content Creation, Graphic Design and on-demand Virtual Assistant skills.

The programme, which runs for 8 weeks, will train participants on the relevant technical skills, attitudes and mindsets required to be successful as a freelancer. You will also be directed to learning resources where you can upskill yourself further as a freelancer after the program has ended.

Monday to Friday, 7am-12:30pm + 1pm-6pm

Technical Skills


We'll help you learn the technical skills with lots of hands-on, interactive sessions. By the end, you'll know:

  • Audio transcription (the process of converting speech in an audio file into written text)
  • Subtitling and on-demand virtual assistant skills
  • Social media marketing
  • Completing transcription
  • On-demand virtual assistant work such as email and calendar management as well as social media content creation and management

Job readiness


  • Training will include on-training drills, and practice days to learn and practice the important technical skills.
  • You will also be directed to learning resources where you can upskill yourself further as a freelancer after the program has ended.
  • After training, you will have the opportunity to work with and get some mentorship from a super-agent.

    Information session

    During this session you will get an opportunity to learn more about Generation and our programs. We will also go over the program requirements, times and dates of class.

  3. 1 hour 3

    Screening

    Generation wants to support you and connect you to resources that will help you focus on learning. We will use this time to learn more about you, also ascertaining that you are the right candidate for the program.

  4. 1 hour 4

    Reality talk

    This session will provide you with an opportunity to learn more about the training you will be undergoing, with respect to the daily schedule, class rules, what we expect from you and what you can expect from us. We will also go over what you can expect after your training is completed. It is during this session that you get to interact with our trainers, alumni and potential employer partners.

  5. 5

    Class begins

    Every day, you'll learn new skills to help you advance your career through our intensive and practical training. You will receive a mentor to walk with you the student journey and remain with you after you complete your training.

    Graduation

    Celebrate your success with family and friends! You will then receive a certificate as you join our ever-growing alumni community.

Requirements

  • Be between the ages of 22-35 years
  • Minimum Highschool (mean grade C- / English grade C-)
  • Ability to read, comprehend and communicate in English with a neutral accent
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and browsers) and typing skills (computer certification would be an added advantage)
  • Excellent listening skills and conversant with different accents
  • No work experience necessary
